The Dandy Warhols in-studio, 9-9-10
Recording engineer: Steven Kray, with assistance from Bill Ward
The Dandy Warhols play a rare acoustic set for us, delivering songs from their own catalog as well as some choice covers in front of an in-studio audience. The long-running Portlanders recently released The Capitol Years 1995-2007 and while a hits retrospective might signal the end for some bands, the Dandys seem poised to continue writing their history with a new album in the works, in addition to their Beat the World label and side projects from most of the band's members. The band reflect on the Portland scene over the past fifteen years or so and also take some questions from our audience, talking dive bars, musical regrets and wine (a passion of Courtney Taylor-Taylor's, as it turns out).
Fresh from an Australian tour, The Dandy Warhols help close out Satyricon this Saturday the 16th. They'll be playing their first two records (Dandys Rule OK? and The Dandy Warhols Come Down) with original drummer Eric Hedford-- also making good on their promise to make it a 31 and over show.
