We want to inform you of an upcoming change to the opbmusic service. On Dec. 11, opbmusic’s 24-hour music channel will be discontinued, in order to devote our resources to broader music and arts coverage across OPB’s platforms — including OPB Radio, online, and OPB TV.

In the past few years, we’ve increased the amount of music reporting by opbmusic staff, and especially during the pandemic, it’s grown in importance on OPB Radio as well as our digital platforms. opbmusic’s popular studio sessions, while currently on hiatus, will return as well in 2021. Regular features like the “Monday Mix” will also continue.

THANKS TO OUR SPONSOR:

The opbmusic channel started in 2007, and we’re grateful for the support of listeners and for the work of opbmusic’s DJs over its 13-year history. You can hear many of them on the air with their final shows over the next week. The last day for the music channel will be Friday, Dec. 11.

2020 has been an exceptionally difficult year for artists and venues. Like you, we’re anxious for the return of concerts and touring, and want to support those events for artists, venues and fans when they can safely restart. Look for this coverage, along with our regular features and, eventually, studio sessions, here on opbmusic and OPB’s other digital and broadcast platforms.
