Padre PioJuly 6, 2009

Padre Pio is fronted by David Mosey, who formed the band in NYC in 2006, and who enlisted Joe McGinty (of The Psychedelic Furs) to produce the group's dance-leaning EP, Madeline.  After relocating to Portland last year, Mosey remade the band with Portland musicians. He talks with Dave Cusick about how he ended up working with McGinty, coming (back) to Portland, and the Catholic references in his music.

Recording engineer: Steven Kray, with assistance from Bill Ward.

Wow.. this turned out awesome.. Thanks OPB!

This almost sounds as good as David Mosey sounds live! Brooklyn misses Padre Pio. Portland, you're so lucky!

Just now listening to the audio only mixes, and they sound different than the video.. The keyboards come out a lot more, and things are a bit more balanced.. Great mixing job OPB.

Yeah, it's a compression issue when matching the audio with video. The audio only is how it's supposed to sound. I'm glad you noticed that, but probably not more so than our engineer, Steven Kray. That's his stellar work.
