Kate Maki is a singer/songwriter based in Sudbury, Ontario. She recorded her most recently released album (and an as-of-yet unreleased one) with Howe Gelb, known for his band Giant Sand.

She visited us recently, played songs from her album, On High, and talked about getting older, teaching part-time, and the joys of recording an album in five days in a backyard shed with no retakes.
