Hard to imagine this is the same guy I saw rocking out in Hazel back in '93. I applaud his evolution, even though I personally prefer Hazel's first album to this. Maybe it's a nostalgia thing, but I really like those songs. I do like "Sweet Ona Rose," tho... Even though that's awhile back now too.

It is a pretty unlikely musical journey, I agree. I like it all, for completely different reasons. I still feel like his last pop record, I Know It By Heart, was his best, so hopefully there's more of that to come, too, as he seemed to hint at in the interview.
