<p>San Francisco-based Nyles Lannon in-studio, 9-20-07</p> <p><a href="http://www.nlannon.com/"> Nyles Lannon</a>'s music is one of those sonic concoctions that routinely inspires entirely new descriptors. &quot;Folktronica&quot; and &quot;lap-top pop&quot; are just a couple of the labels that have been offered in attempts at defining his art, which might be said to combine the hushed, autumnal tones of <a href="http://www.sweetadeline.net">Elliott Smith</a> and <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simon_%26_Garfunkel">Simon &amp; Garfunkel</a> with the 21st century-leaning blips and beeps of <a href="http://www.grandaddylandscape.com">Grandaddy</a> and <a href="http://www.sparklehorse.com">Sparklehorse</a>.
