It’s been said that Portland-based folksinger Laura Gibson writes songs that feel transported from a bygone era. The native Oregonian joined us recently for some in-studio versions of her hushed, plaintive songs, in addition to a stunning take on the traditional “All the Pretty Horses.” Gibson also talks about the impact her rural Oregon roots have had on her music, her involvement in the fruitful Portland music scene, and her recent EP recording of blues and traditionals.
