The session was recorded the first day of the band's March tour with Xiu Xiu, with a new record out, We Brave Bee Stings and All. (Portland connections are many: Tucker Martine produced the CD, Laura Veirs sings backup vocals, and it was released on the Kill Rock Stars label -- now based in Portland). Thao with the Get Down Stay Down is about to leave for a European tour in May. You can hear them in the Northwest again at Sasquatch May 26th, and then they'll open for Rilo Kiley on tour through the middle of June.
