It's finally here! Our favorite Scottish band (sorry Bay City Rollers) plays the Schnitz tonight with local upstarts Typhoon. We wrap up our five day countdown with a clip that's apropos, featuring a newer version of the band playing from their Tigermilk debut with scenes and faces from throughout their years. "The State I Am In" indeed-- almost makes us feel old.
Our audio/visual march to Tuesday night's show at Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall continues with a portrait of the artists as young mop tops before a slightly more couth appearance on Sessions at West 54th. Not to look back like Zimmerman.
It’s the second in our audio/visual countdown to Belle & Sebastian’s performance this Tuesday night at the Schnitz with local openers Typhoon, moving in reverse chronological order to something from 2006’s The Life Pursuit. Oh, and about that show-- tickets are still up for grabs in our giveaway! Details here-in...

Happy October! We begin the month with a great show tonight featuring an in-studio visit with Portland's own Menomena. They joined us in front of an audience for the first of our MusicFest NW sessions. Plus, your chance to win tickets to this Thursday's coming out show for The Corin Tucker Band! The former Sleater-Kinney member releases her debut record this week. Join the conversation...
With a debut full-length release looming, the Portlanders release the first of what will eventually be eleven videos (one for each song on the album) with "Pedro Infante." It's a period piece, directed by Anna Farrell; recognizable figures (aside from the band themselves) include Mike Coykendall, The Woods and the Sandy River. Let's watch...
It's the second video from our in-studio session with Menomena: a new song, "Intil."
It's the first video from Menomena's session at OPB last week. Take a look at TAOS..
