Looking almost unrecognizable from the bearded mountain sage we've known as the frontman and songwriter behind Fleet Foxes
, Robin Pecknold took to Fallon
last night for Pearl Jam Week, which is a thing. There are some noteworthy things worth pointing out about this, not the least of which is Pecknold's (by comparison) clean cut appearance. Does this portend a musical shift for the next Fleet Foxes record? Maybe. Or maybe he just got hot. In any case, nice to see you, Robin!
Also, this isn't just Pecknold's take on Vitalogy burner "Corduroy," but actually belongs to a super trio consisting of Pecknold, Grizzly Bear's Daniel Rossen and Portland's own Neal Morgan. What, you expected "Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town"?
