As previously reported, Seattleite Damien Jurado will release his tenth studio album come February 21st on Secretly Canadian. Maraqopa continues his recent musical partnership with Richard Swift, who recorded and produced the record at his Cottage Grove-based National Freedom studios.

This first taste-- "Nothing is the News"-- has had us more than excited thinking about the possibilities for the rest of the album, and now it has a dramatic new video companion. Rife with symbolism, the action follows white-clad young lovers who find each other against all odds in a world of refuse and debris, all while being pursued by black-clad, baseball bat-weilding thugs. Will their love endure as they stand upon the precipice? Will the forces of good triumph over the forces of evil? CLIFFHANGER!

Jurado will spend the first quarter of the year touring Europe before returning stateside for a string of dates, including Holocene on April 22nd.
