The Drive-By Truckers are nothing if not prolific. Patterson Hood's band of Southern not-necessarily-merrymakers returns in February with Go-Go Boots, their third full-length since 2008 and tenth overall. Said to be more in the directions of a country, soul and R&B sound than we've heard from the band in recent years, the record perhaps wears the afterglow of recent collaborations with Booker T. and Bettye LaVette. All that said, here's the first song in audio and visual forms: "Used to Be a Cop".
And the MP3:
The record's out February 15th on ATO.
