Vaunted indie label Matador is the latest among the cream of the crop to announce the decision, effective this week. This comes as eMusic has negotiated to bring more major labels into their stable in recent months, in the processing renegotiating terms with non-majors. Matador, of course, is home to the likes of Yo La Tengo, Cat Power, Belle & Sebastian, New Pornographers, Ted Leo & the Pharmacists, Sonic Youth, Interpol, and Kurt Vile, among many others, not to mention back catalog work from Pavement, Guided By Voices, Spoon and scores more.
