Typhoon1215

When you have a year like that of Typhoon in 2011, you celebrate and you do it well. South By Southwest, Sasquatch, Newport and Letterman in their rear view mirror, the notably large band filled the stage above and below at Mississippi Studios earlier this month for three sold-out shows to do just that. If you were lucky enough to be there, you likely felt in on something special and for good reason.

But if you weren't there, you're still in luck. Director Matthew Thomas Ross and the rest of the Neighborhood Films crew were on the scene to capture the band's capping of a breakout year. It's a rich-sounding and gorgeously shot set judging from this first taste-- "Never Be Your Lover" is a new song that apparently came together not long before showtime according to frontman Kyle Morton. Ross promises a full concert version coming soon.
