Portland's The Builders and The Butchers are set to release their third studio album, Dead Reckoning, on  February 22nd. It's their first on local label Badman Recording Co. My Old Kentucky Blog is premering album-track, "Lullaby". The song is dark, driving, and very un-lullaby-like. I can't imagine cradling anyone to sleep with lyrics such as, "killing is better than living."

The band's tour with Murder By Death hits Portland's Wonder Ballroom on February 15th. They stopped by opbmusic just about a year ago to perform songs from their sophomore album, Salvation Is a Deep Dark Well.
