What happened to classical music -- you do have some interviews on the radio, I hear them, mostly weekends. I know some of my favorite classical people have been shifted over to KBPS, but to read above, you guys don't even bother with anything but, well, I don't know what to call it -- I have no use for it -- I am older, face it, I am OLD, but, holy cow, I still love the Beatles et. al., and Pete Seeger et. al. I mean, they're not ALL dead yet!!
Thank you for allowing me to comment.

Thanks for commenting Jane. You will hear Beatles songs in our mix, and some contemporary artists who've covered Seeger songs too. Most of our playlist centers on new recordings and local artists -- which is what you see in the Monday charts.

For classical music, the all-classical station is the place to go. But just a hunch you might really like the upcoming in-studio session with Canadian singer/pianist Patrick Watson and his band. Watson has interest in Satie among other composers and you hear that when he plays (to my ears, someone like Paul Bowles too). That's on opbmusic.org next Tuesday 6/15.

I really enjoy the mix I hear on OPB Music.org. I can only get main stream radio in the mid valley and I get VERY tired of it. It's refreshing to hear new and local artists. I can always pull out the classic CD's when I need my fix of "older" music.
