We're now a week into the opbmusic.org T-shirt contest and the designs are beginning to trickle in. I wanted to provide a quick update to the judging panel, which we're pretty excited about. In addition to the opbmusic staff and the handful of OPB'ers from the graphics and creative departments, we also have a slew of noteworthy guest judges from the local design and music community on board. Who is it that'll be looking at your designs, you ask?
- Chad Crouch - Owner of HUSH Records and the being behind Podington Bear.
- Gary Houston - Artist and illustrator responsible for the killer posters out of Voodoo Catbox.
- Adam Shearer - Frontman for the Portland band Weinland. The group is set to release their newest record, Breaks in the Sun, in April.
- Carson Ellis - Portland artist responsible for a number of notable rock album covers, including The Decemberists' Her Majesty and The Crane Wife.
- Mark Atherton - Graphic designer for Ames Design, a company with a pretty impressive client list (Pearl Jam, MTV, Phish & Nike, to name just a few...).
How's that for a group to make you nervous? Keep the designs coming folks, times a-tickin' away!
Questions can be directed to Lucas at lalberg@opb.org.
Cheers!
