It's been quite the year and change for And And And. The thing is, it already had been that-- we've sung their praises here often enough that if you're a regular, you probably know the story: they of the lo-fi scattershot pop, raucous performances and six now SEVEN releases of various stripes in the time it takes some bands to settle on the right marketing campaign. And now this.

And And And is apparently as loved by the locals as they are prolific-- the un-Googlable sextet of transplants from Eugene has just been crowned "Best New Band" by the annual Willamette Week poll, edging out AgesandAges and Brainstorm, among many others. So congrats, And And And! Odds are you'll be celebrating shortly with alcohol (and maybe a little rigsketball)!

And And And plays alongside Brainstorm and Wild Ones as part of the Best New Band showcase this Friday night (May 6th) at Mississippi Studios. Beyond that, look for the band participating this June in the 32-band/team rigsketball tournament they themselves have been busy organizing as of late (really). And just what is rigsketball? It's a variation of basketball played on the hoop mounted atop the back of drummer Bim Ditson's van (no, really!). For purposes of the tournament, it's 3-on-3.
